Research:
Please see the list attached for a complete
review of the past, present, and future projects. The main axis of research is
along the two following lines:
-
Speleogenesis: Evolution of the caves in relation to the geomorphologic
evolution of the surface outside. This includes the study and the dating of
sediments and therefore the paleogeomorphologic evolution.
-
Dating of sediments: U/Th is used to date speleothems, and cosmogenic isotopes
are used for a multitude of sediments and processes such as landslides,
tectonic movement, glaciations, speleogenesis, erosion rates, climatic changes,
etc.
